Casting can message talent as a group or individually.
Messaging individual talent can be achieved by clicking on a talent tile, and clicking ‘Send Message’ on the top right corner of the window.
The basic information will already be pre populated to save time when writing a message to talent directly.
To message talent as a group, casting must be in a project.
Once in the project, find the ‘Send Message’ button on the top right corner of the screen. Once clicked, a pop-out window will appear and prompt casting to choose recipients from a drop-down menu.
The drop down menu will consist of individual talent who are being considered for that specific project, and the rounds for that project. If a round is selected, all of the talent in that round will receive the message.
The message will be pre populated with the subject line, and the ‘to’ and ‘from’ fields. These can all be customized if desired by going to settings and clicking ‘Notification Settings.’ Select the template name and click the edit pencil to the right of the template.
In order to add the message to the pre populated email, highlight the italicized ‘Enter message here.’ Enter the message in place of that, and the message in the template will then be used as a default message whenever a new message is created.
