The Insights dashboard is a dynamic grid comprised of individual reports, known as 'Questions,' which are displayed as visual cards like charts, tables, and key performance indicators. These cards can be arranged and resized to create a custom view, and the entire dashboard is made interactive through filters that allow a user to drill down into the data, for instance, by filtering for a specific time period like last month. The power of a dashboard is significantly enhanced when it leverages 'Models.' Instead of each question on the dashboard querying raw, complex data tables, they can be built upon a Model—a pre-defined, curated dataset that represents a key statistics like 'Active Talent' or 'Demographics of audition participants’
What is a model
A Model is a saved report that acts like a clean, ready-to-use virtual table. Think of it as creating a simplified, official starting point for data exploration. The JamarGig team has taken the raw data from multiple tables in your instance, joined them together, filtered the data irrelevant to your decisions and cleaned up column names. This polished result is then provided to you as a Model.
Now, authorized members of your team start their own reports from this tidy Model instead of from the original tables. It ensures everyone is working from the same trusted data and doesn't need to understand the complex details underneath.
Collections of Models - We’ve done the hard work for you!
Think of Collections as folders used to keep all of your Questions, Dashboards, and Models organized and easy to find. Within the Insights section, the most important of these is the Official Collection, which serves as the single source of truth for your analytics. This special, verified collection provides a prepared and simplified view of the JamarGig database, containing prebuilt Models for all key data such as Projects, Talent, Skills, Audition Rounds, and Roles. By building your reports from the curated Models within this official space, you can be confident that you are using reliable, up-to-date information, allowing you to create powerful dashboards without needing to understand the complexities of the raw database yourself.
