General Settings - Demo Settings

From the global settings, you are able to enable and disable the demo projects and demo talent. Disabled the demo projects and demo talent will remove them from your site completely. If you Enable them again they will be added to the site in their original state;

Pro Tip: You can use this behaviour of disabling and enabling to allow your users to train to us the JamarGig platform without worrying about having to creating/config data.

Demo Projects

Three sample projects are installed, with basic information such as example roles and rounds.

Demo projects will have a “Demo” badge in the top left corner.

Only Demo Talent can be added/Invited to round within a demo project, this is to ensure that no accidental communication is sent to real Talent regarding a demo project.

Demo Talent

Ten Demo Talent profiles, depicted by Demo badge, are provided for you to test the JamarGig capabilities with, all of these Demo Talent have email addresses that are not real where the email is in the form of <username>@demo.jamargig.com.

Communication that is typically generated by the JamarGig platform will not be sent to these Demo Talent, instead the JamarGig platform will redirect the email that was intended for the Demo Talent to the user who initiated the communication; i.e. ad hoc email.

The initiating user will receive email in the following format:

Subject line is prefixed with [DEMO] and in the body of the email there will be visual indicate this email was generated for a demo Talent.

Demo Talent can be added to both real and demo projects, which allows users to use a demo talent a project has been set up without worrying about creating a test Talent.

To access the Talent Portal that has been created for your casting site, Talent will use <yourdomain>.talent.jamargig.com address for example if your casting site is demo-data.casting.jamargig.com then your corresponding talent portal is demo-data.talent.jamargig.com

Normally when a Talent inputs their email address into the Talent Portal website they will be emailed an access passcode.

However an email will not be sent for a Demo Talent where their email address is <username>@demo.jamargig.com as this is not real.

Instead to access the passcode required to access the Talent Portal for the Demo Talent you can do this from the Casting site by clicking on the Demo Talent to see the Talent Summary Panel.

Note:

  • If the Demo Talent has not attempted to log into the Talent Portal, this Passcode will show “None”.

  • If you have the Talent Summary panel open when you attempt to log into the Talent Portal, you can click the “refresh” button to retrieve the passcode that was generated for the latest login attempt; alternatively if you close and reopen the Talent Summary panel you will see the latest passcode as well.

In the Talent Portal the Demo Talent can access both real and Demo Projects
